Glens Falls Area Youth Center is an alternative to the dilemmas our young people face everyday.
It is the only teen drop-in facility of its kind in the area and is open throughout the year.
Since the Center’s target population is disadvantaged youth, all programs are offered Free of charge!
Any youngster between the ages of 12 and 18 is welcome to participate. Place of residence and/or school attended is not a requirement.
The Youth Center promotes an educational atmosphere requiring participants to be enrolled in school, working toward a GED, or involved in Vo-Tech training. We are only open during hours when school is closed.
We provide a safe, well-supervised environment where teenagers can enjoy the company of their peers and avoid feelings of intimidation.
The Center supplies good role models and reinforces positive social behavior.
Our recreation component draws teens to the facility. As they gain confidence in the staff, introduction to youth service programs becomes possible.
